Manage patient instruction presets
When to use this: you type the same home-care advice, follow-up timing, or activity restrictions often — and want one-tap chips instead of retyping.
Who can do this: Doctors only. Presets are stored on your doctor profile (same pattern as tags and favourites).
Where to go
Clinical → Clinic CMS → Clinical Fields (/clinic/clinical-fields) — expand Patient instruction presets below My tags.
You can also Save as preset / Update preset from inside a consultation next to Instructions for patient (Clinical notes and Follow-up).
Add or edit presets
- Expand Patient instruction presets.
- Enter a short label (chip title, e.g. Back care) and the full instruction text.
- Use Edit to change label or body later. Remove only drops the chip from your list — past visit text is unchanged.
During a consultation
- Open Clinical notes (or Follow-up → Patient instructions).
- Tap a preset chip — the body is inserted into the visit field. If the field already has text, the preset is appended with a blank line so you can combine several snippets.
- Edit the visit text freely after applying. Saving the consultation does not change the preset unless you choose Save as preset or Update preset.
Diagnostic presets (whole visit templates) are separate — see Save a diagnostic preset. Instruction presets are lightweight snippets for the patient instructions field only.
