Act on a transfer

When to use this: to move a transfer forward. Each row in Needs your action shows the single next step as its primary button; a menu holds the rest.

The primary action button

The button is chosen from the transfer’s status and your access:

ButtonAppears whenWhat it does
Dispatchpending Request you can send from the sourceOpens the transfer to dispatch quantities
Rider confirmin transit you have source access toOpens it for the rider to confirm dispatched quantities
Completein progress you can receive at the destinationOpens it to complete receiving
Reviewflagged for attention (a mismatch) while open or partialOpens it to review and reconcile the mismatch
Viewanything else (e.g. no access, or a closed transfer)Opens the transfer read-only

Each button opens the transfer’s detail page, where you complete the step.

The ⋮ overflow menu

Every row has a menu with:

  • View details — always available.
  • Cancel transfer — only on a pending transfer; opens a confirmation dialog before anything is cancelled.

You’re done when

You’re on the transfer’s detail page for the step you chose, or (for Cancel) the confirmation dialog is open.

Good to know

  • The action is access- and hub-aware: if you don’t have access to the relevant warehouse, or a cross-hub transfer needs a connected hub, the button falls back to View and its tooltip explains why.
  • The section a transfer sits in is decided by status, not by whether you can act on it — so an open transfer you can’t action still appears under Needs your action with a View button. See How the two sections work.
