Why put-away matters

The problem

After goods receipt, stock often sits in a staging area with no bin. Pickers search by product name; near-expiry batches get buried; the same SKU ends up in three aisles. At our own distribution hub we watched operators re-key locations line-by-line — slow, error-prone, and impossible at scale.

How Put-Away solves it

Inventory Put-Away is a dedicated, scan-first console:

  • FEFO queue surfaces expiry risk before you scan
  • Best-match bin pre-selects where that SKU already lives
  • One-tap confirm assigns location_id without opening a separate dialog tree

Differentiator

Many systems treat location assignment as a grid edit buried in inventory maintenance. Ailaaj separates read (Inventory Management), edit (Batch Update), and slot (Put-Away) — so floor staff get a kiosk-style flow tuned for gloves, scanners, and speed.

When it does not apply
