KPIs & badges
The KPI strip
Four cards sit above the toolbar. They reflect the selected location filter (not the search text), so the portfolio numbers stay steady while you search.
| Card | Counts | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Total line items | Inventory rows in scope | The table’s total for the current filter |
| Low stock | Products at or below the low-stock level | Inventory summary |
| Out of stock | Products with zero available stock | Inventory summary (shows — if your data source doesn’t report it) |
| Expiring soon | Items expiring within 90 days | Inventory summary |
Each card’s small dot is a status colour: blue (informational), amber (low / expiring), red (out of stock), green (all stocked).
Stock badges (Available column)
The Available number is coloured and tagged by on-hand quantity:
| State | When | Appearance |
|---|---|---|
| Out of stock | Available ≤ 0 | Red number, Out of stock tag |
| Low | Available at or below the low-stock threshold (25 units) | Amber number, Low tag |
| Normal | Above the threshold | Default colour, no tag |
Expiry badges (Expiry column)
Shown next to the date on batch-tracked rows:
| Badge | When |
|---|---|
| Expired | Expiry date is in the past |
| Soon | Expiry is within the next 90 days |
| (none) | More than 90 days out, or an aggregated row (no expiry) |
Notes
- The low-stock threshold used for the row badges is 25 units. The Low stock KPI card uses the inventory summary’s own low-stock definition, so the two can differ slightly.
- Aggregated rows never show an expiry badge — they carry no single expiry. See Aggregated vs tracked batches.
