Map to storefront categories
When to use this: products in an internal taxonomy node should appear under specific storefront menu sections — for example mapping Medicines and its children to the storefront Medicines menu.
Steps
- Edit the category (or create a new one).
- Scroll to Storefront category mappings.
- Search by storefront name, menu label, or slug if the list is long.
- Check each storefront category this product category should feed.
- Save the dialog.
You’re done when
The tree row shows Storefront · … badges for each mapped menu entry, and the Storefront mapped count in the summary rail reflects the change.
Good to know
- Mappings are many-to-many: one product category can map to several storefront categories, and several product categories can map to the same storefront entry.
- If no storefront categories exist yet, create them on the Storefront categories tab first — the form shows a dashed empty state until then.
