Why OMS Dashboard
On a weekday morning at our own e-commerce pharmacy, the floor lead used to ask three people the same question: “how many orders landed, are we filling them, and is consult falling behind?” One person opened the Orders list, another counted picklists, a third scrolled the consult inbox. The answers never used the same warehouse or the same clock.
OMS Dashboard is that morning question as one Reports v2 screen. Because Ailaaj operates pharmacies, we built it from the systems we actually run — OMS orders, picklists, rider handoff, and the pharmacist consult thread — and we left tiles blank where we still have no source. A fake 0% on-time delivery would have been easier. It would also have been a lie.
The problem
E-commerce ops is not one list. Volume, fill, live SLA, and customer replies live in different modules. Spreadsheet extracts drift the moment someone changes a date. Generic ERPs either hide the gap or invent a number.
How OMS Dashboard solves it
- One filter bar — the same date range and warehouse chip as Operational KPIs, so you can walk from load planning to order health without resetting scope.
- Overview is a roll-up, not a second definition — shared tiles use the same SQL as the tab they drill into.
- Live versus range is explicit — Command Centre and first-response-today ignore the date filter because a live queue has no meaning inside last month.
- Honest blanks — on-time delivery, first-attempt, RTO, payment success, COD collected, refunds, CS agents online, and queries-by-channel name the missing source instead of showing zero.
How this differs from Operations Intelligence
| Operations Intelligence | OMS Dashboard |
|---|---|
| ”How much work moved through each stage?" | "Is the order book healthy?” |
| Event counts (punched, picked, packed) | Order outcomes (booked, filled, cancelled, realised) |
| Operator Productivity names staff | No per-agent scoreboard |
| SLA Monitoring (when used) is threshold breaches | Command Centre SLA is unpacked time after confirm (30 / 60 min) |
Use both. They answer different questions.
When it does not apply
- POS walk-in sales — Smart Counter Day View, not this dashboard.
- Profit / COGS — Order Financials is booked and realised value only.
- Call / WhatsApp / email ticketing — Support & Queries is the pharmacist consult thread only.
- Promised delivery windows — not stored on orders, so on-time stays blank.
