Narcotic register & till cash — Ailaaj One 1.5.5
Narcotic register & till cash
Release date: 22 September 2026
Version: Ailaaj One 1.5.5
Status: Shipped to production
Who it helps: Pharmacists selling controlled medicines, cashiers closing a till, and staff reviewing invoices and purchase orders
In short
Sale Reports now includes a Narcotic Register: product-wise stock in and out for items marked narcotic, covering sales, sale returns, and goods received.
On Smart Counter, a narcotic line shows a chip. Checkout will not complete until a doctor name is entered. The name and optional number are saved on the sale notes and show again on recent sales.
End Session lists cash purchases (cash GRNs) for this warehouse since the till opened, so cash that left the drawer is visible before the cashier counts the close.

New
Narcotic Register (Sale Reports)
Staff with sales-report access can open Narcotic Register Report from Sale Reports.
- Summary by narcotic product: quantity in, quantity out, and net.
- Expand a product to see each sale, sale return, and GRN line with customer or supplier, document number, notes, and date-time.
- Date range and warehouse filters follow the same pattern as Day View.
- Search runs on the rows already loaded.
Migrations: 20260922120000_narcotic_register_report, 20260922123000_narcotic_register_supplier_id.
Doctor details on narcotic sales (Smart Counter)
When the cart contains a narcotic drug-control item, that line shows a Narcotic chip.
Checkout requires a doctor name. Doctor number is optional. Both are written onto the transaction notes and print with the sale record. Recent sales shows the prescribing doctor from those notes.
Cash purchases on End Session (Smart Counter)
Ending a till shows cash GRNs for the current warehouse created since the session opened (pending or completed, payment mode cash). The cashier can open the list, search it, and see supplier, GRN number, and value before confirming the close.
The same list is available when the till is ended from order creation.
Improved
Recent sales and invoices (Smart Counter)
Recent sales can be narrowed by the store’s titled payment method, by drug control (including narcotic), and by an exact amount.
Invoice filters accept a date and an optional time. When no time is set, the range is still the full day. Bag charges and rounding are included in invoice totals and in the invoice export.
Product and filter menus on the zoomed counter stay attached to the field instead of opening off-screen.
Purchase orders
A new purchase-order line starts as one pack (stored as that pack’s units) instead of one single unit.
Fixed
Sign-in
When the access token has expired and the browser is online, the app shows Restoring session and refreshes the sign-in instead of leaving staff on a failed screen.
Demo organisation setup
Demo organisation setup no longer fails after titled payment methods removed the old store-and-method unique key. Migration: 20260921120000_fix_demo_seed_org_payment_methods_on_conflict.
Known
- Doctor name and number live on the sale notes, not in a separate doctor field. Editing the notes can change what recent sales and the register display.
- The narcotic register reads
get_narcotic_register_report. Without that function on the environment, the report shows the narcotic-register error. - Cash purchases are cash GRNs since the till opened for that warehouse. They are not a second cash ledger and they do not change the expected till balance by themselves.
- Session restore runs only while the browser is online.
