Campaign status & limits — reference
The home of record for campaign lifecycle and limits. The how-tos (Create, Publish/save/duplicate/delete) link here.
Status is date-derived
The Status badge is read-only — you never set it by hand. It is derived from the start/end dates:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Not yet published — invisible to the counter. |
| Scheduled | Published, start date in the future. |
| Active | Published and inside the date window — live on the rack. |
| Completed | Past the end date. |
The list status filter also exposes Paused and Archived.
Lifecycle actions
| Action | Behaviour / toast |
|---|---|
| Save draft | Saves changes (disabled when nothing to save) — “Draft saved.” |
| Publish campaign | ”Campaign published — status: {derived status}.” |
| Duplicate | Copies the campaign ID to the clipboard to paste into a new campaign. |
| Delete | ”Delete campaign ‘{name}’? This cannot be undone.” |
Hard limits
- Status is date-derived — a campaign becomes active inside its window and completes after the end date; you don’t flip it manually.
- Drafts are invisible to the counter until published and in-window.
- Audience is role + store + department — no customer-group targeting.
- SKUs are added individually — no bulk import.
- One incentive value per campaign — no per-tier escalation.
Permission
Only roles that can manage campaigns (an admin-level permission granted in Role Management) may create or edit campaigns. Everyone sees live campaigns at the counter.
