Why package pricing matters

Bundles speed up counter sales

A package product is one sellable SKU that expands to multiple inventory lines at POS. Staff scan or select one bundle instead of ringing each item — fewer errors, faster queues.

Custom pricing without changing catalog prices

Retail price mode uses each product’s current price. Custom mode applies a bundle-only discount or markup (% or Rs) without editing the master product record — useful for promotional kits or care packages.

Service charges

Optional service charge (fixed or percentage) covers assembly, counselling, or delivery bundled into the package total. It appears separately in the pricing summary and is included in Bundle value on the list.

KPI visibility

Total bundle value helps merchandising teams see inventory value tied up in pre-configured kits. Avg items / package highlights whether bundles are simple pairs or multi-SKU care packs.

Inactive vs delete

Set Inactive to hide a bundle from new sales while preserving the record. Delete removes the configuration entirely — use when the kit is retired and should not reappear in admin lists.
